Today (April 30, 2024) at the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, has held a republican scientific-practical conference on the topic «Afghanistan crisis: in the context of the situation and prospects for ensuring the security of Central Asia». In the work of the conference have participated, responsible representatives of government ministries, agencies, scientists and experts of scientific and analytical institutions.
In the conference, were analyzed and discussed a set of issues such as; the factors of continuation of the political and economic crisis in Afghanistan, its impact on the security of Central Asia and other actual issues.
The director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, doctor of philosophy, professor, member of NAST Khayriddin Usmonzoda opened the conference with an introductory speech and congratulated the conference participants.
During the opening speech, the Director of the Center, relying on the speech of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, expressed that Tajikistan is concerned about the current processes in different parts of the world, including Afghanistan. It was emphasized that our country always calls on the international community to resolve all conflicts only through negotiations and dialogue. This approach in our foreign policy is similar to the position of most international organizations and countries of the world.
In this context, H.U. Usmonzoda expressed hope that the results of the conference will have a profound impact on taking necessary measures to ensure national security.
In the discussion section, the participants of the conference expressed useful thoughts and opinions in connection with the presented reports.
Director of Center Khayriddin Usmonzoda summarized the conference and expressed his gratitude to the conference participants for their active participation.
